Abdulvasi BALTA, a student of the Department of Sports Management Education of our faculty, won the second medal for our country by winning the third place in the men's freestyle in the U23 European Wrestling Championship held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
In the men's freestyle competitions, our national wrestler Abdulvasi BALTA faced his Armenian rival Mushegh Mkrtchyan for the third place in Europe. In the 79 kg bronze medal match, Abdulvasi BALTA had a hard time against Armenian Mushegh Mkrtchyan, but he won the match 2-1 and became the third in Europe. Balta thus made our country and our university proud by winning the bronze medal.
