Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University left its mark on the Turkish Inter-University Sports Judo League organized within the scope of the 30th anniversary of the foundation of Afyon Kocatepe University (AKU) and the 100th anniversary of the Great Offensive on 14/05/2022-16/05/2022.
Melike Keskinoğlu and Cemre Malakçıoğlu, who worked together with coach Research Assistant Professor Semih KARAMAN in the organization where approximately 30 universities and more than 200 athletes participated, became Turkey Champion by leaving their rivals behind in the Women's KATA Championship. BAİBÜ, which received the best score from the referee commission, which examined the organization, order, flow and techniques during the competition, took the top spot on the rostrum.
1 silver and 1 bronze medal in individual competitions
In the men's individual competitions, Ramil BABAYEV came third in Turkey in the 100 kg category and second in Turkey in the open weight men's category. In women's individual competitions, Cemre MALAKCIOGLU came fifth in Turkey in the 48 kg. category.
Melike KESKINOGLU, Cemre MALAKCIOGLU, İbrahim BICER, Celal CAKIR, Hakan CURUKOZ, Ramil BABAYEV, who represented our university in the Mix Teams Competition competing in Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University judo team, completed the competitions as the seventh in Turkey.
